Southampton Hoteliers Association Welcomes Their New Vice Chair

The Southampton Hoteliers Association is a collective of hotels in Southampton which aims to promote the vast range of fantastic hotels there are across the city. The group meet regularly to discuss how they can combine efforts to improve and enhance the visitors experience in the city and provide jobs and careers for the local community.

The ever growing consortium are now pleased to welcome their newly elected Vice Chair person Nathan Chart. Nathan is the General Manager of Chilworth Manor and will be working alongside the Hoteliers Chair person Mark Sampson to combine efforts for implementing growth to the association, it’s position within the city, and promoting Southampton as a destination.

Nathan’s background promises to bring a great deal of knowledge and experience in the industry to the group;

I have worked in the hospitality industry since 1994 across a range of branded international properties and independent 4 and 5 star hotels. Most recently I have focussed on Sales, Marketing and Revenue culminating in my position as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton before joining the beautiful Best Western Chilworth Manor as General Manager in July 2016.

Emphasising the benefits of being a member of Southampton Hoteliers, Nathan says;

Being part of the Hoteliers Association gives a communal voice to hotels within the city. We have real opportunity to lobby local organisations on behalf of our industry and to unite when promoting hospitality to those looking for a rewarding career.

As he steps into his position of Vice Chair Nathan hopes for real progress, he says;

I hope we are able to make real progress in our relations with local colleges and universities to help address the current decline we see in people choosing hospitality as a career. I am also looking forward to representing all hoteliers in promoting our wonderful City and the diverse selection of hotels we offer.

The Southampton Hoteliers Association are excited to welcome Nathan and look forward to the continuing growth of the association.
