2010 Superhero Candy Floss Ball

Southampton’s leading venue finding agency, Venue Smart, has just released details of their charity fundraising ball, the Candy Floss Ball.  This year will be the sixth annual Candy Floss Ball and will take place at the De Vere, Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton on Saturday 26 June and will raise much needed funds for Help For Heroes and the Piam Brown Award. The theme of this year’s events is Super Heroes.

Local sporting heroes Matthew Le Tissier and Iwan Thomas visited the Piam Brown Ward at the Southampton General Hospital this week to sign memorabilia that will be auctioned at the event.

Shirley Pinn, Managing Director of Venue Smart, commented ‘Each year Venue Smart organises a ball to raise funds for local charities. 2010 is no exception and I have chosen two charities that are very dear to me, Help For Heroes and the Piam Brown Award. I am absolutely delighted that our suppliers have once again agreed to sponsor the event to ensure that ticket prices are kept low.’

Shirley continues ‘As this year we are celebrating our local heroes, the theme of the event will be Super Heroes and guests should dress as so! However should guests not be able to find their inner hero then black tie dress is also acceptable!’

Tony Moore, of Cutting Crew fame, and DJ Bunker from Heart FM will be the MC’s for the evening, entertainment will be by the terrific covers band Lady Marmalade.
