Calling all people of Southampton: we now have our own carnival! It’s called BUNDLE DAY!

Bundle Day 1st May 2010 starts at 5am (yes, 5am!) on Saturday 1st May in and around the Soul Cellar:

Come and join us to dance at dawn from 5am
Make your own carnival costumes and musical instruments from 6am
Have breakfast (vegetarian/vegan/meat) at the Soul Cellar from 6.30am
Watch performances and have a go yourself from 8am (meringue, Morris and Irish dancing, samba music, juggling and MORE!)
And finally join in on a spectacular parade with exciting samba music and
fantastic carnival costumes at 10am!

Bundle Day is part of ‘Solent Sunrise’, a Solent-wide celebration of May Day which aims to grow and become part of the London 2012 celebrations - i.e. this is only the beginning!

We know it's early, but dawn is magical - come and join us and the early birds to celebrate sunrise, 1st May and BUNDLE DAY!!

Also note that the Soul Cellar has a reggae night the evening before (Friday) and will stay open all night, leading into BUNDLE DAY at 5am! For those who prefer to stay up late, rather than to get up early..
