Directions to venue
From M3 Junction14 continue onto Chilworth
Roundabout and take second exit on to Bassett
Avenue. At the roundabout, take the second second
exit onto Winchester Road (A35 The West). At the
traffic lights turn right onto Dale Road (signposted
Southampton General Hospital). At the mini
roundabout turn right and follow signs for the main
car park.
From M27 Junction 5 (Airport) head to
Southampton (A335) along Stoneham Way. At the
traffic light, continue straight ahead on Stoneham
Way A35 (Swaythling). At the next traffi clights
continue straight ahead onto High Road (A35) and
bear right at the next traffic lights onto Burgess
Road (A35, General Hospital). Pass the University
and proceed straight on at the traffic lights across
The Avenue. Pass the Common on the left and turn
right at the mini roundabout onto Hill Lane.
Turn left almost immediately at the next
roundabout onto Winchester Road (A35). At the
traffic lights turn right onto Dale Road (signposted
Southampton General Hospital). At the mini
roundabout turn right and follow signs for the main
car park.
Extensive parking is availble at the hospital, and
special conference rates can be arranged.

The Heartbeat Education Centre is a purpose
built conference and training facility located
at the Southampton General Hospital in
the city centre. The striking features are the
flexibility of the seven meeting areas and
the state of the art AV equipment available
in all the rooms. Video conferencing can be
conducted from the main Lecture Theatre and
the video conferencing room. Revenue raised
from hosting an event at the HEC is applied
to supporting Wessex Heartbeat projects. This
unusual but very beneficial use of revenue
raised can be used to satisfy both CSR and
Investors in People awards.
