On Friday 21st October The Lord Mayor, business leaders and dignitaries headed to the rooftop of the new Southampton Harbour Hotel , to celebrate the milestone progress of the exciting new development.
The final phase of the redevelopment of Ocean Village is on schedule for completion in 2007, introducing a five-star Harbour Hotel to Southampton. Making it one of the most desirable marina locations in the UK, the hotels unique luxury yacht inspired design will reflect Southampton’s thriving marine culture.

Nicolas Roach, Chairman of Nicolas James Group who are managing the development, said: “We are very excited that our luxury development scheme is set to open summer 2017; our new five star Harbour Hotel and Alexandra Wharf apartments will complete Ocean Village and seal its reputation as the finest location in the city to live and work.”
Heading up construction of the hotel is leading construction company Bouygues UK. Speaking of the luxury development: Darren Gill, Bouygues UK Managing Director for the South said: “Ocean Village has revitalised this part of Southampton and we are very proud to be part of such an important development. Reaching this stage of the overall scheme is a fantastic milestone in the city’s regeneration programme and we are pleased to be making such good progress in a city which continues to be a strong and important market for us”.
Set to include 85 bedrooms, the hotel will feature an indulgent Harbour Spa, with a gym and swimming pool, along with the Group’s award winning jetty restaurant concept and a luxurious rooftop Champagne bar.
Headed up by Chef Patron Alex Aitken, The Jetty brand successfully champions sustainable, local seafood, with a series of accolades to support this; most recently as the ‘UK’s Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2016’.
The ground floor is set to include a large open plan lounge for informal meetings and afternoon teas, as well as a number of flexile meeting and events rooms. Businesses will benefit further from use of these exclusive spaces, all set in contemporary and stylish surroundings.
The hotels rooftop bar will boast a second restaurant, complete with an extensive terrace, premium Champagne bar and spectacular views across the marina.
With the Group’s unique Harbour Spa rand established across its hotels, expect luxury facilities alongside indulgent treatments.
