Southampton City Council proudly hosted the Annual General Meeting of the National Association of the City and Town Sheriffs of England and Wales (NACTSEW) last weekend. Southampton is one of only 15 locations across England and Wales that has a Sheriff. In Southampton the Sheriff is appointed annually and is elected from the 48 councillors in the city.
